Wonderful Printer
This printer was easy to set up and functions flawlessly. If you set it to monochrome it does not use color toners.

Works Perfectly!
We got a 9440CN five months ago to replace our fifth(!) HP multifunction which had failed!! Our experience with HP laser printers has been excellent.

Rip-Off
The printer has a very long warm up time but the printing itself is adequate for general office type printing. Don’t even think about printing photos.

Piece of Junk
I bought this product based on the Staples managers recommendation. It will NOT print an envelope reliably. The drum went our after the first 90 days. STAY AWAY!!!

Laser Multi-Function Copier
I’ve had this for about a year now. Other than eating lots of toner, and a few minor jams, it’s been great. I would purchase it again, especially now that the price has dropped!

Great Value
High quality, energy efficient, prints a lot of pages for the cost of the toners, it’s a great printer. I love all of the features.

Nice Machine, Horrible Customer Service
Sorry this is long review. This machine has some great features. It has a low price point for a color laser printer.

Very Unhappy
I had previously used an HP3330 in my small law practice. When it came time to retire the old HP (after five very productive years) and move up to a color model, I really tried…

I bought this printer when it was on sale for about $90.00. Our color laser printer had given up the ghost and we needed something quick and didn’t have time to research the color lasers. This little baby has worked perfectly right out of the box. I’m pretty well versed in network setups, but I needed to read the setup instructions. But I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes.

Its print quality is so good, that depending upon the cartridge yield, we may not replace the laser. We don’t need great speed and don’t do a lot of big jobs, so I have a feeling its going to work out just fine.

Haven’t tried the photo-realistic feature, but that’s not why I bought the printer.

Only 2 gripes.

The fancy software that allows you to do everything, (send/receive faxes) from your computer is only good for two computers. Then they want you to buy more licenses. Good grief, this is a NETWORK printer. Two users? Get real!!

But that didn’t bother me because I don’t need, nor do I want, those features on my machines. So I just installed the drivers only and things work fine. Might try the fancy software on one machine later just so we can have the functions available if we need them.

Second gripe is paper tray. 100 sheets seems like too little for me. But maybe its just because I’m use to our 500 sheet laser.

Handle the paper tray gently. The plastic looks a little flimsy and I’m sure it would cost more to replace it than the printer cost in the first place. But as long as you are careful, I think it will hold up fine.

Anyway, a good value for the $’s.

Oh, and I had to call Brother on a support issue (turned out to be me being stupid as opposed to anything wrong with the printer). They actually talked to me. I could understand them and they were very patient. Pretty good for a $90.00 printer.
