Is it safe to buy a refurbished Inkjet All-In-One Printer?
ByI need a new printer and I’m most likely going to buy an Epson Workforce 600 or Stylus NX515. If I buy from a reputable website/store, is it safe to buy a refurbished one?

I would not buy a refurbished one. They are cheap enough already. It is the ink that is expensive.

If you’re buying it from the manufacturer it should be fine. These are normally covered under the same warranty that the full price product is. Refurbished can mean they replaced anything on it, might be an important part like the ink heads or a minor part like the on/off switch – but it essentially means “the exact same functionality as the brand new one, but it’s not brand new”
Double check on the warranty, but that’s all I’d be concerned about when buying one.

A new Epson gives you a one year fedex replacement warranty. A refurbished usually one gives a 90-day you-have-to-ship-it-to-them warranty. Though if you buy it direct from Epson you could get the full year (you have to check the details). So I would not buy a refurbished printer except direct from Epson with the warranty.

I’ve been buying Epson printers for the last 15 years, all refurbished. I have had problems and Epson always sent a replacement Free including shipping. I have a CX9400Fax and love it. NO problems when purchasing refurbished from the manufacturer only. Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

I own a refurbished printer and trust me, I have never had a problem with it. I bought it online from Super Warehouse.
